What is KeyStrokeIt?

KeyStrokeIt is a program that allows you to assign key strokes to launch any application, webpage or script.....pretty much anything you like.
No longer do you have to navigate through the start menu or minimize windows to find those common programs you always use. With a simple stroke of your finger you can start notepad, run the calculator, open Google or even put the computer to sleep. It's never been so easy!

How Does it Work?

After you assign a key combination, KeyStrokeIt monitors your keyboard and waits for you to hit one of your combinations. Once hit, KeyStrokeIt launches the command you specified. It's that simple.

Monitor the keyboard you say?

Yes, KeyStrokeIt needs to monitor the keyboard in order to wait for the correct key combination to be hit.
Don't worry KeyStrokeIt DOES NOT RECORD ANYTHING, it just waits and watches. It does not capture any information.

Can't I already assign hot keys to shortcuts in Windows?

Yes you can, but KeyStrokeIt works no matter which program you are running inside whereas Windows shortcut hot keys require you to be on the Desktop.
